Lead Pre-Kindergarten Teacher (3 year olds)
Family of Christ Church and Early Education Center, located in Ahwatukee offers quality Christian education for ages 2 to 5 years, with a variety of part-time and full-time preschool and kindergarten enrichment programs. We offer care in a loving and nurturing Christian environment with small class sizes and certified teachers.
We are seeking a a Lead Pre-Kindergarten teacher that has a genuine love for young children and a commitment to high-quality education for 3 year olds, and values working as part of a team.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparing the classroom for the daily activities and being present in the classroom 10 minutes prior to the arrival of students.
- Reviewing objectives and lesson plans with the Director for the upcoming year and submitting lesson plans
- Daily attendance and count for each child during transition times such as chapel, playground, and any activity when students leave the classroom.
- Maintaining ongoing and open communication with the parents concerning their child’s progress.
- Keep parents informed of upcoming events or special activities.
- Keeping the classroom clean and safe in compliance with the school policies
- The curriculum is to nurture and stimulate each child’s development and a love for learning.
Requirements:
- A passion for early childhood education
- CDA, NAC or CCP credentials OR an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Early Childhood, Child Development, or a closely-related field
- Prefer 12 months employment as a teacher
